Laid back and casually fun. These are the words that come to mind when I think back on Sam and Lisa's wedding held at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville, NY.
They had put much time and effort into creating a wedding that fully represented their personalities. From each girl wearing sparkly high heels and bright pink bridesmaid's dresses from Alfred Angelo, Lisa dancing down the aisle towards her groom, to having a sports referee marry them... it all contained so much of their fun personalities! The fun was not, however, over shadowed by the day's sweet emotion. Enjoy this sneak peak of the candid, sweet moment's from Sam and Lisa's wedding day at the Craftsman Inn.
Updos by Hair & There
As I captured the girls all getting ready, I couldn't help but notice their gorgeous hair styles by Hair & There. Not only did their hair look fantastic in the morning when first finished but held until late into the night after much dancing!
One sweet thing that Sam and Lisa did was exchange gifts and each opened their gift on the morning of the wedding. The lyrics to the song of their First Dance held special meaning to both of them and Sam had the words made into an art piece for Lisa. From her reaction, I'd say he hit a home run.
Lisa's gift to Sam was a watch that would remind him of their wedding day every time he wore it.
The First Look on the Wedding Day
Once both were dressed and ready, we captured a few more sweet moments. One of my favorite things to photograph on a wedding day is a couple's First Look. Emotion is so much more real during this intimate moment when the bride and groom have a few moments to themselves without many onlookers. Sam and Lisa were able to connect and talk before the busyness of the day took over and they were whisked away by their many guests.
The Craftsman Inn offered everything that Sam and Lisa needed that day for their wedding including the Bridal Suite where the girls got ready, the Hospitality Suite where the guys got ready, a place for the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception! Everything went off without a hitch and the food was delicious!
The Wedding Ceremony
And just like I said, Lisa did, in fact dance down the aisle unbeknownst to Sam.
Reception at Craftsman Inn
First Dances are also one of my favorite parts of a wedding day! Sam and Lisa's First Dance lead right into speeches from the Maid of Honor and Best Man. One thing that's almost a guarantee during speeches... there will be laughter, and there will be tears.
Music and Lighting by Salt City Sound Machine
When the sun sets, it almost always creates a great opportunity to escape the music, dancing and mingling with guests to catch your breath and get a few more gorgeous pictures. I was excited that Sam and Lisa got a great sunset on their day!
