The sweetest First Look with Dad
One of the most fun things that Lara and Dave did on their wedding day was take the whole Bridal Party for a cruise through the 1000 Islands on a boat from the Antique Boat Museum. But while we waited for our cruise, we were able to use their docks for a few pictures!
And then we were off on our cruise! Each of the Bridesmaids were given scarves with anchor designs on them to completely match the nautical theme of the wedding!
We just had a blast with the whole party... getting creative with our shots!
Going by the historic post office in the background...
Also swinging by Calumet Island!
The weather forecast called for severe thunderstorms that day, but watching the radar, we found that the storm had actually parted right down the middle so they didn't hit us! But the sky that day with all its color was amazing!
Lara and Dave worked hard learning how to ball room dance for their First Dance as husband and wife... fully choreographed from start to finish!
Another AMAZING cake by Sweets Lorraine! For the last wedding I had blogged she had created a lighthouse cake. For Lara and Dave, she designed a cake with an actual map of the 1000 Islands! How cool is that?! Not only awesome to look at but also delicious!
I loved that Dave's dance with his grandma ended up with everyone dancing around them. Freezing a moment in time like this... something you'll always want to have.
Though we did have a few rain drops later that evening, I think they added a lot to the photo.
And of course we couldn't leave out the iconic Clayton New York Sign. Andrew and I so enjoyed being able to be a part of their day, not only to capture their wedding memories but to spend a bit of time with them to see how truly thoughtful and caring Lara and Dave are. We are so happy for you both!
