It really couldn't have been a more perfect day for Joe and Stephanie's wedding. For being the end of August, it was sunny and 70... just the perfect weather to get married and to get pictures for this Syracuse wedding photographer!
Stephanie and her bridesmaid's makeup was done by Riki who owns Syracuse Makeup Artistry. Every time I've worked with her, she's done an amazing job! I'd highly recommend her!
Then of course we have all of Stephanie's details from her wedding dress, to her shoes, earrings, necklace and clutch purse!
Mom zips Stephanie up...
...while her sisters help her with her jewelry!
Check out the lace on her wedding dress! I just love it!
Here is Joe getting ready to head to the church himself!
Many sweet tears all around...
... and of course, smiles!
I love it when other couples consider their dog as "their kid" just like Andrew and I do! All kids should be in wedding photos... and Cooper was no exception! Especially since Joe and Stephanie would be going away for their honeymoon and wanted to see him one last time before leaving!
As a Syracuse photographer, I was super excited to be able to shoot at a new barn wedding venue... Old Hickory Farmin Weedsport, NY. Set among the rolling hills, this transformed horse barn, stalls and all has its own amazing personality when compared to the other barn wedding venues in the area. More on that below!
One very cool thing about Old Hickory Farm is their pond that also can be used as a ceremony site as well!
I just loved how still the water was so we could get great reflection shots!
There are actually horses on the premises with many fenced in paddocks! If you're a girl that grew up riding and loving horses, this is your dream wedding venue!
And honestly, Joe, Stephanie and their bridal party were a blast! Every time we asked them to do something, they'd respond with, "Absolutely!" They were so fun and wonderful!
When the girls looked over and saw the guys posing for this picture, they couldn't help but start singing, "she thinks my tractor's sexy"!

Introductions into the reception... the new Mr. & Mrs.!
The main area of the barn now used for dinner and dancing was, what I assume, an old indoor horseback riding ring! Along the outside of the riding ring are what used to be horse stalls. Now they serve as little nooks and crannies for a bar, hors d'oeuvres and mingling with friends! So much personality!
The First Dance
I could tell right away that both Joe and Stephanie were close with their families. Joe's best man was his brother and Stephanie's two maids of honor were her sisters. But if I had any doubt of their closeness, the toasts solidified that in my mind. They had just about everyone in tears.
Stephanie and her dad had quite the Father Daughter dance planned... starting out slow and then breaking out into a fun song and dance!
Before the Mother Son dance, Joe's mom took the mic and explained that on the day Joe was born, his birth was announced on the radio followed by a special song that was played. It was the most sweet and meaningful Mother Son dances I have ever seen and had this brand new mom hiding her own tears behind her camera.
The Cake Cutting
Joe and Stephanie, we were so glad to be a part of your wedding day and want to add our congratulations to you both! I hope to run into you both frequently at Wegmans and around town!!!
