I'm so excited to share with you the blog from a dear friend's wedding we shot just a few weeks ago. When we started attending Missio Church a while back, Martha and Chris were some of the first people that Andrew and I initially met and got to know. Even if you don't know them, all you have to do is look at the pictures of them to know that they are the sweetest, friendliest people ever... and together, they make an AMAZING pair!
The Wedding Dress
On the day of their wedding, it was a balmy... er... um... 15 degrees. While that isn't THAT cold for NY, the wind chill that day made it feel a lot more like -15. Warm boots and mittens were a must!
Personal coffee delivery service from none other than one of Martha's brothers!
The Wedding Rings
Martha's family traveled all the way up from Florida to be part of festivities! After all... who better to button up your wedding dress than your mom?
And here is the handsome groom writing a letter to his bride to be!
Of course Martha wrote him a letter too!
One thing that I didn't know until the wedding day is that Martha had always wanted to marry a ginger... well she got Chris and all his red hair!
These two had their First Look in the church sanctuary... the place where they initially met!
And yes... they even braved the wind chill for some pictures... even though when their eyes watered it immediately turned to ice on their faces!
When you kiss your soon to be husband while wearing lip stick... inevitably... its going to come off on his lips too!

The Kiss and Pronouncement!
While Chris and Martha didn't actually have a bridal party, ironically, he has three sisters and she has three brothers... so of course we had to take some fun pictures with all of them!
I loved their matching boots!

The First Dance
Like many details of this wedding, sweet friends all came together to make this day special for Martha and Chris. The wedding cake was no exception baked and decorated with love by a mom and her daughter in our church.
This happens to be one of Martha's brothers who had mixed a handful of awesome songs for everyone to dance to. The actual DJ and MC of the night was one of the worship leaders in our church who did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged and out on the dance floor!
Chris and Martha, we are so happy for you two and were so glad to be there during every step of your wedding day! We look forward to seeing your love grow year by year!
