Traditions at the Links Wedding | Jon & Kristy

Welcome to Kristy & Jon’s Traditions at the Links wedding blog post! I’m excited to share the beautiful work photographed by Emily Netti Photography! Why wasn’t I the one to photograph this wedding? I’ll share that in a bit!

Bride Getting Ready

Here is Kristy and her bridesmaids before they all got dressed!

I just love the expressions on one of Kristy’s bridesmaid’s faces when she saw Kristy all dressed up! And how about these gorgeous detail shots Emily arranged?

The Bridesmaids

I love this shot of Krisy just moments before she walked down the aisle!

Groom Getting Ready & Portraits

Such a good Best Man helping his friend get ready for one of the biggest days of his life!

Here is Jon, the Groom himself! And it just so happens that I photographed his sister’s wedding last year and was able to hang out a bit with Jon and Kristy at that wedding too!

I love this one of Jon and the Groomsmen!

The First Look

Doing a First Look wasn’t Kristy and Jon’s favorite idea initially but after realizing that they could get the majority of their photos out of the way before the ceremony so they could enjoy Cocktail Hour, they changed their minds. And I love the look on Jon’s face! I can almost hear his, “WOW!” as he saw Kristy for the first time all dressed up!

Occasionally my couples that have a Traditions at the Links wedding like to take the golf cart to the back of the course for photos but it cuts into at least 30 minutes of photo time to get there and back. I’m glad these two decided to stay close by the venue instead! Emily got SO many gorgeous portraits of them in different backgrounds! So worth it!

I also love the framing of this shot by Molly Krajewski Photography, Emily’s second photographer that day!

And this one with their venue in the background is by Molly as well! Love it!

The Bridal Party

So where was I that day and why didn’t Andrew and I photograph their wedding? Many months after Kristy and Jon booked their wedding, we decided to relocate our family to the Central Florida area and I had 100% planned on flying back to shoot the wedding. THEN we found out we were expecting our 4th baby on June 6th, just 10 days before their wedding. That was when I knew I had to call on a couple of my friends and amazing photographers Emily to shoot in my place and Molly to shoot for Andrew. Emily has a very similar style as I do and with me editing all the photos, we kept a consistent look for Kristy and Jon!

The Ceremony

The original plan was to hold the ceremony outside under the pergola but the rain in the forecast had other ideas. Thankfully they were able to get almost ALL of their portraits done outside before the sky let loose!

And then Kristy and her mom!

The Reception

I loved their “Guest Book” idea!

And the berries on their cake! Here’s a fun fact… Andrew and I had berries on our wedding cake. I just love that look!

The napkins twirling around the bride and groom as they entered their reception is just epic!

The First Dance

…and the Mother Daughter dance!

Time to party!

I love that Emily got this night time shot for these two! Just an epic way to end their wedding! Jon and Kristy, I truly missed you on your wedding day but am so glad to have gotten to know you through our emails, meetings, your engagement session, Lauren and Tyler’s wedding and now through editing all your photos! Thank you for trusting me (and Emily and Molly) with one of the biggest days of your life! Hugs to you both and CONGRATULATIONS!
